For this show I edited each band’s set based on the season they felt like in my mind. It wasn’t intentional. It naturally came about as I was thinking about how I wanted each individual artist’s photos to come across. I started with Hell Beach and I thought about how I wanted their pictures to look - so I said, okay, SUMMER! HOT! SUN! SURF! So naturally very warm/orange, California vibes. Grub Lord was up next and I found myself playing around with autumn presets for them. I mean come on - vampire teeth, screaming, Dracula references? Darker colors, desaturation, Fall all the way. Lastly, was Cape Crush, a fresh, indie, almost whimsical sound - Spring. Warm colors and bright greens. The feeling that you’re on your back porch admiring all the new life that is beginning to grow around you.
